What is it all about?
In short we wanted to circulate a single point of contact and information to support our most vulnerable residents and generally promote the great community spirit we have already, this is going to be hard to do when everyone is behind locked doors so we thought this platform may be a good starting point. There is a shared mailbox in the Contact Us page where volunteers are happy to to try and help wherever possible. We cannot guarantee an endless supply of toilet rolls or hand sanitizer but we all go to the shops at some point and can help by picking up a few extra items if needed or share useful information such as well stocked shops or who may have items in need.....

We must be mindful that not everyone in the village is techy savvy or even have access to a computer or internet - so as far as is safe and practical see if there is someone you could help even if it is just to relay a message on to us?

It might be a good idea to keep an eye on our Messages and Discussion Board pages to see if people are asking for help and reply back to advise if you can help with that issue, that way we know someone is taking care of it and to also prevent wasted effort. The aim here is to try and reduce unnecessary trips out of the village rather than increasing them.

There is a 'Local Businesses' tab on this site which is aimed at supporting the community and keeping our business local and supporting the village, particularly after this pandemic is under control, if you are a local business owner, feel free to email in your details, there is no charge for this service.
