Wild Heath Spotted Orchids

The summer of ’22 has been a particularly good flowering year for Heath Spotted orchid, a common terrestrial orchid in our area. The site, a tiny Local Nature Reserve, designated by Stockton Borough, is situated around the junction of the A67 and Picton Lane. The many species of wild flowers also present make the area attractive to butterflies with Ringlet present now at the end of June.  Park sensibly and enjoy.    A McLee
